Armenian Plagiarism of “If Not That One, Then This One” on Russian TV

On December 18, the program “Health” at the first Russian channel had a performance of armenian dance with the music from operetta by Azerbaijani composer Uzeyir Hajibeyov of “O olmasin bu Olsun” “Not that, so this”, which was presented as Armenian.

It is worth noting that this operetta “If Not That One, Then This One” also known as “Meshadi Ibad” is a musical comedy (operetta) in four acts written by Azerbaijani composer Uzeyir Hajibeyov, in 1910. This comedy reflects social and everyday life relations in pre revolutionary Azerbaijan. This is the composer’s second work written in this genre. “If not this one, then that one” comedy is considered national classics besides “Arshin mal alan” comedy.
